The City of Dallas has a comprehensive approach to floodplain and drainage management that dates back to the early 1970s. The Mill Creek/Peaks Branch/State-Thomas Drainage Relief project is one part of a plan to provide storm drainage improvements to the Mill Creek, Peaks Branch, East Peaks Branch and State Thomas areas of Dallas. The City of Dallas is the owner of this project.
