Site A is the East Peaks Branch Intake site and the site will have Shaft A (18-ft diameter & 177-ft deep) and a lateral connecting the shaft to the main tunnel, Pump Station Shaft and the lateral connecting this shaft to the Shaft A and Dewatering Building. The Pump Station shaft at Site A is directly connected to Shaft A and is designed for dewatering the tunnel for future maintenance and inspection. The pump station has a design capacity of 30,000 gpm with a 20’ finished diameter shaft and is the deepest part of the drainage tunnel at 189’ deep.
